The primary objective of the Mathematics Education Division within the Department of Mathematics and Science Education is to train mathematics teachers who will teach at the middle school level—that is, in grades 5–8.
Graduates will be able to work as teachers and administrators in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, private schools, and various institutions.
There are opportunities to pursue master’s and doctoral degrees and work as faculty members at various universities.
Students gain admission to our department based on the results of the centralized exam administered by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Admissions are based on the Mathematics and Science 1 (MF-1) score.
