The Mathematics Education Division is an undergraduate program within the Department of Mathematics and Science Education that was established in 2011. The aim of this program is to educate individuals who love mathematics and teaching mathematics, know how to acquire knowledge, and possess reasoning and problem-solving skills. Our department continues to advance in line with developments in the fields of mathematics education and teacher training, providing students—whom we began admitting in 2012—with the learning environments required by today’s world. In addition, the department began offering graduate education in 2015 with the launch of a thesis-based master’s program under the Institute of Natural Sciences. Our graduates are qualified to work as mathematics teachers in middle schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education and in private educational institutions.
